Taipei, 17 August, 2010 – Taisys, a leading mobile solutions provider announced today that their CMO, Sidney Wang, will be presenting their innovative KingTrust™duoPASS® solution the first forum on add-on NFC mobile payment solutions to be held in Taipei on 8-9 September.
The two-day forum on “Alternative NFC Mobile Payment Solutions & Bridging Gaps in the Ecosystem” is organised by the Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA), endorsed by the NFC Forum and supported by the Committee of Communications Industry Development of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan.
This forum is the first opportunity for organisations planning NFC mobile payment products and services to compare and contrast different approaches to add-on alternative solutions that can “NFC-enable” mobile phones.
“While most other added on NFC solutions give control of the secure element to the mobile operator, the Taisys solution provides secure element independence by incorporating an additional dual-interface SIM as the NFC secure element” says Jason Ho, Taisys CEO. “The additional dual-interface SIM can be issued by financial institution such as banks, transport revenue collectors, or any other payment or loyalty card issuer giving them an issuer-centric model.”
“There are unlikely to be many mobile phones available with NFC functionality before 2013” added Greg Pote, APSCA Chairman. “Alternative add-on solutions that provide enable existing mobile phones for mobile contactless payment are going to become increasingly important, particularly when they offer issuer independence.”
