TAISYS Technologies Co., Ltd. (“TAISYS”) announced today an innovative mobile payment solution, “duoPASS®”, which enables the new “Mobile EASYCARD” service provided by EASYCARD COPORATION (ECC). With TAISYS’ patented SIMoME® technology, the new solution turns almost any mobile phone handset into a contactless payment device – regardless of the handset’s operating system or provider. The product works for subscribers from all five mobile operators running GSM, CDMA or W-CDMA networks. Moreover, the embedded ECC applications can also provide customers via handset screens, responses to their EASYCARD transaction enquiries and proactive popup information.

He went on to say that as a result of having the product go through rigorous validation processes, duoPASS® has been fully tested by ECC to perform transactions securely via the 30,000 EASYCARD readers island-wide. At the same time, this product is also undergoing certification processes of standards bodies such as EMV, Jason Ho went on to say “we are confident that in the very near future banks will be able to deploy duoPASS® as an enhancement to their traditional debit or credit card services. At the very least, duoPASS® can become a 2nd SIM to satisfy the needs of customers who require multiple SIM cards.”
